Good quality Jazz apples should be flavorful
and well colored with firm, smooth skins. Avoid fruit with broken
or wrinkled skin, missing stems or internal browning.

Jazz apples also hold exceptionally well at
ambient/room temperature. Later storage Jazz develops a sweeter
flavor, yet remains quite firm and crisp, while freshly harvested
Jazz has a more tart flavor and is extremely firm.
SENSITIVITIES
Most apple varieties are big ethylene producers
and are also sensitive to ethylene exposure. Jazz, however, is
a low ethylene producer.
Apples are odor sensitive and should be stored
away from odor producing items, like onions and avocados.
All apples are moderately sensitive to chilling
injury.
